PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens barrel in which the moving amount of a lens group is made large and a cam ring does not be exposed to the outside when the lens barrel is extended forward. SOLUTION: This lens barrel is provided with the cam ring supported to move in an optical axis direction as it is rotated; a moving lens group frame supported to move only in the optical axis direction by regulating rotation on the inner periphery side of the cam ring; a cam mechanism for a lens group following a cam groove for a lens group formed on the inner peripheral surface of the cam ring and moving the moving lens group frame by larger moving amount than the cam ring by the rotation of the cam ring; and an outside lens frame ring positioned to cover over the cam ring on the outer periphery side of the cam ring and engaged to freely rotate relatively to the cam ring and move together with the cam ring in the optical axis direction.
