The present invention relates to an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device and a driving method thereof. When a pixel is in a black mode wherein a threshold voltage of a driving thin film transistor (TFT) is not required to be sensed accurately, a data line is constantly and continuously supplied with a voltage less than zero for an initialization period, a sampling period, and a programing period. Thus, a reference voltage and a data voltage having different values are not alternately supplied to the data line when the pixel is driven in the black mode, which minimizes power consumption. |
