The present invention provides a variable silencer capable of controlling reduction of pressure of exhaust gas, comprising a body (10), a sound absorbing means (20), and a variable means (30). The body (10) includes a flow path for exhaust gas. The sound absorbing means (20) has sound absorbing materials on multiple divided positions on the flow path of the body (10). The variable means (30) rotates the absorbing materials of the sound absorbing means (20) to change a flow section of the exhaust gas. Accordingly, an inner absorbing material has a changeable arrangement shape thereof in the silencer using a sound absorbing duct method, which is installed on an exhaust system for a vessel, thereby maintaining an optimum noise preventing function by controlling the amount of reduction of sound.
