PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater that suppresses: a decrease in amount of usable hot water due to an increase in generation amount of intermediate-temperature water; and a decrease in efficiency in boiling-up operation.SOLUTION: A heat pump water heater includes: a hot water storage tank 1 which stores hot water heated by a heat pump device 2; a heat-using hot water delivery pipe 21 guiding hot water in an upper part of the hot water storage tank 1 to a heat exchanger 20; and a heat-using return pipe 22 guiding the hot water having exchanged heat in the heat exchanger 20 to a gush water stream adjusting means 40. Here, the water stream from a gush out port of the gush water stream adjusting means 40 dispersively gushes out substantially in the horizontal direction with respect to height direction in the hot water storage tank 1. Thus, the heat pump water heater suppressing a decrease in amount of usable hot water due to an increase in a generation amount of intermediate-temperature water and a decrease in efficiency in boiling-up operation, is provided. |
