PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicinal plant extract not producing any changes e.g. precipitation or turbidity of the extract itself and not producing any change with time such as precipitation or turbidity even when compounded in products. SOLUTION: This medicinal plant extract is obtained by subjecting a medicinal plant to extraction with water or an alcohol or a solvent mainly consisting of a mixture thereof, then, adding an alkali such as sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide so as to make the pH of the extract alkaline and finally, removing insoluble substances.
