PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which can select whether wiping is performed or not or whether a plurality number of continuous wiping are performed or not, corresponding to the position where a carriage loaded with a recording head moves to conduct an effective cleaning with an inexpensive and simple constitution and can readily output high quality recording results, and a cleaning part of the recording device. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device selectively switches whether wiping is performed or not, by selecting the position where the carriage 6 loaded with the recording head 5 moves.
