PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet printing machine which can be easily adjusted for printing registration under a simple constitution. SOLUTION: In this sheet printing machine, at least, one set of plate cylinders 10 are provided and each plate cylinder 10 clamps a printing plate 15 wound around the peripheral surface of each plate cylinder 10, by a chucking side plate clamping part 12 and a chucking tail side plate clamping part 13 using a plurality of plate clamping mechanisms 11 arranged in the axial direction of the plate cylinder 10. Further, the printing cylinder 10 applies tension to the printing plate 15 with the help of a plate setting part 14, and thus fixedly retains the printing plate 15. In this machine, the printing plate 15 wound around each plate cylinder 10 is flexibly retained by the plate cylinder 10 so that the printing plate 15 can be adjusted for printing registration during printing. Consequently, the generation of a printing registration failure such as printing registration shift during printing can be inhibited by the flexibility, and the print quality can be improved with perfect printing registration.
