Provided are a steering wheel and a method for mounting an air bag module, which enable the air bag module to be compact and enable mounting work to be simplified. A steering wheel has: an air bag module 2 provided with an air bag 21 which is inflated and expanded in an emergency, an inflator 22 which supplies gas to the air bag 21, and a retainer 23 which supports the air bag 21 and the inflator 22; and a body section 3 gripped by a vehicle occupant during operation. The inflator 22, the retainer 23, and the body section 3 are connected by the same pin 4. |
