SILVER HALIDE COLOR PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR DEVELOPING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain color paper which does not cause surface stain, unevenness in processing and the deterioration of photographic characteristics (lowering of the color density and color mixture) due to the inclusion of a bleach fixing solution in a color developing solution and gives a print of satisfactory quality even when development time is considerably shortened. SOLUTION: When the silver halide color photographic sensitive material having a multilayer structure is developed with a color developing solution containing a p-phenylenediamine derivative, the relation between the development progress speed (a) of the lowest one of the constituent emulsion layers and the development progress speed (b) of the uppermost one satisfies the expression 0.65<=a/b<=2.0 or the relation between the development progress speed (c) of the blue-sensitive emulsion layer and the development progress speed (d) of the red-sensitive emulsion layer satisfies the expression 1.0<c/d<=1.5. Each of the development progress speeds is represented by the reciprocal of development time required for the attainment of the increase of density by development to 1/2 of the maximum ultimate density.
