This scroll compressor (100) is provided with a fixed scroll (1) and an orbiting scroll (2) which comprise materials having mutually different strengths, and each of which has a spiral tooth, wherein, if the coordinates of the shape of the spiral tooth that has the lower material strength from among the spiral teeth in the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll are expressed as: x=a{cosφ+(φ±α)sinφ} (where a is the base circle radius, φ is the involute angle and α is the phase angle), y=a{sinφ-(φ±α)cosφ}, and tl=2aα (where tl is the thickness of the spiral tooth), then the phase angle β of the shape of the spiral tooth having the higher material strength is set such that β<α, and the shape of said spiral tooth is defined such that the coordinates thereof can be expressed as: x=a{cosφ+(φ±β)sinφ} (where β is the phase angle), y=a{sinφ-(φ±β)cosφ}, and th=2αβ (where th is the thickness of the spiral tooth), and the thickness th of the spiral tooth having the higher material strength, from among the spiral teeth in the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll, is made to be less than the thickness tl of the spiral tooth having the lower material strength. |
