The method involves measuring the temperature by contacting the nose-mirror (nose surface?) of the calf at a support point, which is directly above a suction nipple of a feeding place. The support point has an area, which corresponds to the anatomical size of the nose-mirror. An electronic temperature sensor is assembled in the area of the support point. The temperature sensor may measure the top or the side area of the nose-mirror.
