1. A compound of the formula I in which R is C1-C18 alkyl, C5-C8 cycloalkyl, C7-C9 phenylalkyl, -CH2-A-R2, or a group of the formula II, R1 is C1-C18 alkyl, C5-C8 cycloalkyl, C7-C9 phenylalkyl, or a group of the formula II, R2 is C4-C18 alkyl, -(CH2)m-COOR5 or a group of the formula III, R3 is hydrogen, C5-C8 cycloalkyl or C1-C12-alkyl, R4 is C1-C18 alkyl, C5-C8 cycloalkyl, C7-C9 phenylalkyl or a group of the formula II or IV A is S or SO, E is a direct bond, -CH2-, -CH;-O- or -CH2-NH-, G is -O- or -NR3-. Y is C1-C18-alkyl, cyclohexyl, phenyl or alpha- or beta-naphthyl, R5 is C1-C18 alkyl, and m is 1 or 2, with the provisos that either at least one of the radicals R and R4 conforms to a group of the formula II or R is CH2-A-R2 and R4 is a group of the formula IV. 2. A compound according to Claim 1, in which R is C1-C8-alkyl, cyclohexyl, benzyl, -CH2-A-R2 or a group of the formula II. R1 is C1-C8-alkyl, cyclohexyl, benzyl or a group of the formula II, R4 is C1-C12-alkyl, cyclohexyl, benzyl or a group of the formula II, R2 is C8-C12-alkyl or -(CH2)m-COOR5, R5 is C8-C 13-alkyl and E is a direct bond or -CH2. 3. A compound according to Claim 1, in which R is C1-C4-alkyl, -CH2-A-R2 or a group of the formula II, R1 is C1-C4-alkyl or a group of the formula II, R4 is C1-C4-alkyl or a group of the formula II or IV, R2 is C8-C12-alkyl, R3 is hydrogen, C1-C8-alkyl or cyclohexyl, E is a direct bond, G is NR3, and Y is phenyl or alpha- or beta-naphthyl. 4. A compound according to cairn 1, in which A is SO or a direct bond. 5. A compound according to Claim 1, in which R is -CH2-A-R2, R1 is C1-C18-alkyl, C5-C8-cycloalkyl or C7-C9 phenylalkyl and R4 is a group of the formula IV. 6. A compound according to Claim 1, in which R is a group of the formula II, and R1 and R4, independently of one another, are C1-C18-alkyl, C5-C8-cycloalkyl or C 7-C9-phenylalkyl. 7. A compound according to Claim 1, in which R4 is a group of the formula II, and R and R1, independently of one another, are C1-C18-alkyl, C5-C8-cycloalkyl or C7-C9-phenylalkyl. 8. A composition comprising an organic material which is sensitive to oxidative, thermal and/or photoinduced degradation and at least one compound of the formula I according to Claim 1. 9. A composition according to Claim 8, in which the organic material is an organic, preferably synthetic, polymer. 10. A composition according to Claim 9, in which the organic material is an elastomer. |
