The hydraulic actuator for shifting control of a motor vehicle transmission (1) has at least one pusher piston (2) in a casing (3) and a follower piston (3). The pusher piston can be controlled by an electric motor (6). The control edges (8-10) of the pusher piston and the control passages (11,12) and -or the pressure chambers (A,B) of the casing , and the pistons are so connected that the follower piston follows axial movement of the pusher piston.
