This rotary machine (1), provided with a rotary shaft (40) rotatably disposed in a casing (30), comprises: an end plate (35) disposed at one end side in the axial direction of the casing (30); a recess section (35a) formed in the end plate (35) and recessed toward the inside of the casing; a through hole (35b) formed in the recess section (35a) and through which one end section (41) of the rotary shaft (40) is inserted; and a shaft grounding device (70) which is provided in the recess section (35a), is brought into contact with the one end section (41) of the rotary shaft (40) which is inserted through the through hole (35b), and eliminates a shaft voltage generated in the rotary shaft (40). |
