PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect water in an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A sensor comprises: a sensor unit 30 that is disposed in an exhaust system of an engine 100, and includes a filter member 31 having a plurality of cells that are partitioned by porous partition walls to capture particular matter in exhaust gas, and at least a pair of electrode members 32, 33 that are disposed facing each other with a cell in between to form a capacitor; and a control unit 40 that estimates an amount of the particular matter in the exhaust gas based on capacitance between the pair of electrode members 32, 33 and detects water in the exhaust system of the engine 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
