<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tightening informing structure of a fuel tank cap capable of reliably informing completion of tightening the fuel tank cap with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: When a fuel tank cap is turned in a tightening direction, an engagement claw 5 is abutted on an inclined part 56 provided on a rail part of a fuel tank, and slidably moved, and advanced toward a cutout groove 57 at the terminating position. A stopper is deflected more according to an increase of the degree of inclination of the inclined part 56, the elastic energy is accumulated. When the fuel tank cap is further turned, the engagement claw 5 is finally and rapidly dropped into the cutout groove 57 by the elastic force, and a projecting part 5a of the engagement claw 5 is collided with a groove bottom of the cutout groove 57 to generate the click sound. Completion of tightening of the fuel tank cap can be clearly recognized by the feeling of moderation and the click sound, leakage of a fuel or a vaporized gas in the fuel tank caused by forgetting of tightening or insufficient tightening of the fuel tank cap can be reliably prevented, and the safety can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
