<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dye composition, capable of imparting a fresh color to hair firmly without causing the decomposition of the dyestuff, having an excellent resistance against light, washing, sweat, friction and heat, stable against an alkalizer and oxidizing agent, having high dyeing power and showing less discoloration with the passage of time, and a method for dyeing by applying the same for the hair. <P>SOLUTION: This hair dye composition contains an azo dyestuff (1) [wherein, R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>4</SB>are each H, an aliphatic hydrocarbon group, an aryl, a halogen atom, an acyl, cyano, an acylamino or the like, and may form a 5- or 6-membered ring by bonding the R<SB>1</SB>with R<SB>2</SB>and/or R<SB>3</SB>with R<SB>4</SB>; X is C or N; (n) is 1 when the X is C and is 0 when the X is N; A<SB>1</SB>to A<SB>4</SB>are each N or C substituted by Y in the formula or having H, and at least one of them is nitrogen atom; Y is a substituent; and (m) is 0-3 integer] or its salt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
