<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Co-based alloy stock for living bodies for hot die forging capable of obtaining a Co-based alloy for living bodies having high strength, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a Co-based alloy stock for living bodies for hot die forging having a composition comprising, by mass, 26 to 30% Cr, 5 to 8% Mo, ≤0.20% (excluding 0%) C, 0.05 to 0.25% N, and the balance substantially Co, and in which the average value of crystal grain sizes is 50 to 1,000 μm ...(1).
