摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly respond to driving conditions of surrounding vehicles in merging of its own-vehicle and a position of the own-vehicle with respect to a merge point, and to suitably support a driving operation of a driver of the own-vehicle so that the most suitable display image is displayed for current driving environment of the own-vehicle. SOLUTION: A controller 1 generates a display image obtained by superimposing a mark of the own-vehicle indicating the own-vehicle on an enlarged map image which displays road environments around the own-vehicle, on marks of the surrounding vehicles indicating the surrounding vehicles on the basis of the position and behaviors of the own-vehicle running on a merging lane, positions and behaviors of surrounding vehicles running around the own-vehicle, and road environments around the own-vehicle. A displayed position of the mark of the own-vehicle on the display image is determined so that many images of an area in which the driver of the own-vehicle pays attention to merging of the own-vehicle can be displayed according to collision margin time TTC of the surrounding vehicles running around the own-vehicle against the own-vehicle and position relationship between a merging lane where the own-vehicle runs and a main lane.
