Provided is a resin composition that has excellent weather resistance and transparency and in which bleedout and whitening at high temperatures are reduced. Further provided is a production method for the resin composition. In particular, this resin composition contains: a methacrylic resin (A) that contains structural units derived from methyl methacrylate and has a melt viscosity η(A) of 1,500-3,500 Pa∙s; and a block copolymer (B) in which a methacrylic acid ester polymer block (b2) is bonded to an acrylic acid ester polymer block (b1). The block copolymer (B) has a melt viscosity η(B) of 75-1,500 Pa∙s, and η(A)/ η(B) is 1-20. The resin composition contains 0.1-3 parts by mass of a hydroxyphenyltriazine-based ultraviolet-ray absorber, relative to 100 parts by mass of the total content of the methacrylic resin (A) and the block copolymer (B).
