<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for stably producing a high quality diagonally stretched sheet film. <P>SOLUTION: Both of the right and left edges of a sheet film to be stretched are clipped with variable pitch clips on the right and left sides whose clip pitches in the lengthwise direction vary, as they are moving. Difference ΔL between the position of the light clip and that of the left clip is provided at the points (AR and AL) where the clip pitch in the lengthwise direction begins extending along the moving direction of the sheet film. The sheet film is diagonally stretched by the extension of the clip pitch of the clips in the lengthwise direction, as the clips move on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
