PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rim for a spoked wheel of a bicycle enhanced in performance in view of a balance, a camber angle and/or strength, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The rim (122) for a spoked wheel of a bicycle has the section of side walls (13, 14) in the radial direction varied, in particular, varied symmetrically/non-symmetrically in respect to the central plane and/or the spread in the radial direction varied. Preferably, the section in the radial direction is varied without changing the area along the periphery not including holes (123a, 124a, 125a) and openings (123b, 124b, 125b) arranged as needed for passing the nipples. The rim having the structure is manufactured by a manufacturing method including the process of forming a cylindrical extruded component by a hydro-forming method to locally change the sections of the side walls (13, 14).
