PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods of reading machine readable symbols.SOLUTION: Systems and methods capture a plurality of images of a symbol and can identify symbol data regions from an image even when the symbol data are corrupted and not decodable. Binary matrices of symbol data regions obtained from the plurality of images are generated and accumulated to generate a decodable image. Correspondence is established among the plurality of images acquired on the same symbol when the symbol has moved from one image to a next image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
