SUPPOSITORY COMPOSITION FOR RECTAL ADMINISTRATION COMPRISING CLOTRIMAZOLE

摘要

A suppository composition for rectal administration comprising clotrimazole is provided to avoid liver toxicity as a side effect caused by oral administration of clotrimazole, and to inhibit growth of tumor. The suppository composition for rectal administration comprises 5-20 wt.% of clotrimazole, 50-70 wt.% of poloxamer, and 20-40 wt.% of propylene glycol, wherein the melting point of the poloxamer is 30-36 deg.C; and the composition further comprises 60-85 parts by weight of an additive selected from excipient, binder and disintegrant based on 100 parts by weight of the composition.
