A facsimile transmitting method and a system thereof having the facsimile data type selection function are provided to reduce a facsimile transmission time and a printing time. A facsimile transmission system(10) includes a transmission side facsimile device(100) and a reception side facsimile device(200). An input member(110) receives a facsimile transmission command from a user. A data producing member(130) produces the image data corresponding to the transmission image. A transmission side communication member(140) transmits the image data through PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network)(50) to the reception side facsimile device on the basis of the command of a transmission side control member(120).
