PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly functional electric power steering device having a one-shunt control function for executing one-shunt PWM control in order to continue assist control even when a three-shunt control function is lost.SOLUTION: An electric power steering device has a three-shunt control function for executing three-shunt PWM control by three-phase current detection values Iu, Iv and Iw based on three downstream shunts of an inverter, a one shunt control function for executing one-shunt PWM control by three-phase current detection values Iu', Iv' and Iw' based on one downstream shunt of the inverter, and a switching function for switching between the three-shunt control function and the one-shunt control function. In the case of |Iu+Iv+Iw|<threshold value A, the three-shunt PWM control is executed considering that a state is normal. In the case of |Iu+Iv+Iw|≥threshold value A, considering that a state is abnormal, the three-shunt PWM control is switched to the one-shunt PWM control by the switching function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
