Flame retardant composition comprises: (I) an organohalogen flame retardant; (II) an auxiliary flame retardant; (III) a hydrocarbon-based resin; and (IV) an olefin-based thermoplastic resin. Flame retardant composition comprises: (I) an organohalogen flame retardant; (II) an auxiliary flame retardant; (III) a hydrocarbon-based resin, having an aromatic monomer content of at least 50 wt.% and a softening point of 70-140 deg C; and (IV) an olefin-based thermoplastic resin, having a melt viscosity of 0.1-200 Pa.s at 180 deg C and a shear rate of 6.08 l/s. The composition contains 60-95 wt.% (I)+(II)+(III); the (II)/(I) weight ratio is 0.1-2; and the (III)/(I) weight ratio is 0.05-2.
