PURPOSE: A battery system is provided to reduce maximum internal pressure of a first insulative circuit and/or a second insulative circuit in an energy storage system, thereby capable of reducing installation cost of an energy storage system. CONSTITUTION: A battery system(101) comprises a battery pack comprising a plurality of battery modules(11), which respectively comprises at least one battery cell(12); and a measurement parts(20) respectively comprising at least two of first control circuits monitoring at least one property of at least two of the battery modules. The control circuit is not connected to the battery module having lowest voltage potential, or the battery module having highest voltage potential.
