摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stevia glycoside insulin signal-activating agent which remarkably contributes to the expression and phosphation of insulin receptor substrate (hereinafter referred to as IRS) placed on the upstream of insulin signal transmission, is contained in the leaves of stevia, and has been used as a sugar-substituting natural sweetener. <P>SOLUTION: It has been found that stevia glycosides and analogues thereof such as stevioside remarkably increase IRS (insulin receptor substrate) existing in the upper position of complicated insulin signal transmission and essential for the transmission of insulin signals in target cells such as nerve cells, prominently promote the tyrosine phosphation of IRS, effectively transmit insulin signals, and are effective for various adult diseases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
