PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator which is made thinner and increase sound pressure. SOLUTION: A flat panel speaker which emits sound waves into the space by vibrating the panel comprises: a holder 51 which one end face of the piezoelectric actuator used to vibrate the panel is bonded to the panel; a pair of piezoelectric diaphragms 41 whose surfaces are in parallel with the one end face of the actuator and centers in a length direction are held by the holder 51; and a metal plate 42 put between these piezoelectric diaphragms 41. The pair of piezoelectric diaphragms 41 have a bimorph structure, respectively, and are bonded to both sides of the metal plate 42 by a member (double-faced tape) 43 having viscoelasticity arranged locally between the diaphragm and the metal plate 42.
