PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system for eliminating the need of work for data erasure performed after data migration and a computer system and dedicated hardware which are needed for data erasure by erasing data of a migration source storage device by a data migration device, and to provide the data migration method and the data migration device of the storage system. SOLUTION: The data migration device 1 is provided with a data migration means 12 for migrating data from a first storage device 3 to a second storage device 4 in response to a write/read instruction, erasing data of the first storage device 3 after data migration and erasing all of the data of the first storage device 3 when all data migration is completed.
