PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from touching a sealing member to stably maintain a function of the sealing member formed on a frame body.SOLUTION: A unit comprises: an image carrier; process means that acts on the image carrier; a frame body that supports the image carrier; a member that is assembled to the frame body; a sealing member that is formed by injecting a resin different from the frame body into the frame body to fill a gap between the frame body and the member; and a shutter that is supported by the frame body movably between a protective position to protect the image carrier and a retreat position to expose the image carrier.
