<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform humidification in a cap appropriately even when a liquid is deposited in the cap. <P>SOLUTION: In a state where an ejection space opposed to an ejection surface on which an ejection opening for ejecting ink is formed is opened (S105), printing is performed (S106). Then, the ejection space is closed with a cap (S107). A supply time for supplying humid air to the ejection space is determined to be longer as a time in which the ejection space is opened immediately before the supply time becomes longer (S108).
