<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the anti-theft property of a safe by putting up strong resistance to the action of prying a movable member of a hinge device by means of a claw bar. <P>SOLUTION: This safe comprises a main body 1, and a door which is mounted at the one side edge of the main body 1 in such a manner as to be horizontally turnable via the hinge device 2. The door is equipped with a hollow shell body with a front surface plate 14 and a peripheral wall plate 23, and the inside of the door is filled with a fireproof material. The movable member 5 of the hinge device comprises: a base portion 5b which is exposed on the front surface of the door; a fit-in portion 5c which is fitted into the door; and a flange portion 5d which is superposed on the front surface of the door in the state of closing a mounting hole 27. Even if a burglar tries to prize open the movable member 5 by means of the claw bar, the excellent anti-theft property can be secured by making the flange portion 5d exert a strut action. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
