PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary signal processing according to the imaging method of an image pickup device. SOLUTION: A still image expansion unit 107 comprises: an imaging method identifying part 201 which identifies an imaging method according to a horizontal synchronization signal and a clock signal; an image processing part 202 which performs signal processing on the outputs of an R memory, a G memory and a B memory; an image data recording part 203 by which the image data subjected to signal processing by the image processing part 202 are recorded on a PC card freely removably inserted in a PC card slot; and a control part 204 which controls the image processing part 202 and the image data recording part 203 according to the result of identification by the imaging method identifying part 201.
