PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat generation rate waveform creation device of an internal combustion engine which can accurately regulate a combustion state of fuel in a cylinder of an internal combustion engine, and a combustion state diagnosis device.SOLUTION: In a diesel engine, when creating an ideal heat generation rate waveform model for each reaction form of fuel which is injected into a cylinder, a light component and a heavy component of the fuel are independently treated, and by taking into consideration an influence degree of the oxygen density and fuel density of these component, the ideal heat generation rate waveform model adapted to each reaction form is formed on the basis of a start time, a reaction speed, a phase difference and a reaction division ratio of reactions of these components. An ideal heat generation rate waveform of each reaction form is created by smoothening the ideal heat generation rate waveform model by filter treatment. By comparing the ideal heat generation rate waveform for each reaction and an actual heat generation rate waveform which is obtained from detected in-cylinder pressure, it is diagnosed whether an abnormality occurs. |
