A mounting structure of a bumper cover for an automobile is provided to prevent shock applied to the bumper cover from being transmitted to a head lamp by causing the bumper cover to slide on the head lamp in case of a collision. A mounting structure of a bumper cover for an automobile comprises a carrier, a head lamp(52), a bumper cover(54), a slide combining unit(60), and a hook combining unit(70). The head lamp is installed on the top of the carrier. The bumper cover is installed at the bottom of the carrier. The slide combining unit is installed between the head lamp and the bumper cover by sliding one between the head lamp and the bumper cover to the other. The hook combining unit is formed to hook the head lamp to the bumper cover. The hook combining unit includes a hook(72) protruding from the head lamp downwards and a hook hole(74) formed on the bumper cover to be hooked by the hook.
