PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket examination machine capable of controlling the opening/closing of a door in accordance with the passing state of a user and the control method of the automatic ticket examination machine.SOLUTION: An automatic ticket examination machine includes: a door; a stereo camera; determination means; passage blocking means; prediction means; and collision avoidance means. The stereo camera photographs a user who passes a passage. The determination means determines whether to allow a user to pass the passage on the basis of a storage medium presented by the user. The passage blocking means closes a door provided at the passage side when the determination means determines that the user is not allowed to pass the passage. The prediction means predicts whether or not the user collides with the door on the basis of an image photographed by the stereo camera after the passage blocking means starts control to close the door. The collision avoidance means performs avoidance control to avoid the collision of the user with the door when the prediction means predicts that the user collides with the door.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
