PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber ferrule member which can be used as parts of an optical fiber connector of an optical fiber communication circuit or the like or a variable optical attenuator or the like whose shape is similar to that of the optical fiber connector. SOLUTION: A concentric cylindrical base part 9, a concentric cylindrical front end part 12 which has the same axis as the base part 9 and a diameter smaller than that of the base part 9 and is finished into an acute angle without chamfering in the outer peripheral part of the end face, and a connecting part 11 which has a chamfered slope connecting the base part 9 and the front end part 12 are provided as one body in an optical connector ferrule body, and an optical fiber 13 is inserted to the center hole of this optical connector ferrule body, and the front end of the optical fiber 13 and the end face of the front end part of this ferrule body are spherically ground with the base part axis inclined atθdegree to the ground face by a grinding method using an elastic material disk and grinding film, thus obtaining the optical connector ferrule member. Displacement (S) from the optical fiber axis (O) of the apex (P) of the oblique ground sphere due to this grinding is <=60μm.
