PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate fine adjustment of the position of a sensor for elevation and a running stop and to accurately stop a cargo-carrying platform in the target position of a cargo shelf. SOLUTION: First elevation stop position detecting means 37 to detect that a cargo-carrying platform 10 reaches a proper elevation stop position corresponding to the height of each cargo shelf 4 are provided in the proper spot of the cargo-carrying platform 10 and a position corresponding to a cargo shelf 4 at each stage of a mast 9. A second elevation stop position detecting means 39 to detect positional deviation in a vertical direction between the cargo- carrying platform 10 and the cargo shelf 4 positioned opposite to the cargo- carrying platform is provided in the proper spot on the side, fronting on the each cargo shelf 4, of the cargo carrying platform 10.
