The method involves forming a side (1d) of a base plate (1) transverse to longitudinal extension of the base plate in a curved manner. Recesses (1a, 1b) of the base plate side are formed in such a manner that projections (2b) do not extend or only a part of the projections extends into the recesses, when applying the base plate on a sliding surface unit (2). The curved side of the base plate is pressed against the projections exhibiting a side (2i) of the sliding surface unit.
