CONCRETE BLOCK PAVEMENT STRUCTURE AND FIXING INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pavement structure formed of concrete blocks and fixing instruments capable of easily improving the beauty of a pavement by costlessly installing vegetation zones which can be easily maintained without letting the vegetation wither. SOLUTION: A number of concrete blocks 11 are laid while interposing vegetation zones 19 between adjacent concrete blocks 11, in this pavement structure. Cutouts 12 corresponding to the shape of the corner of the concrete block 11 are shaped at respective corners of a square plate member 17 to form a cross-shaped fixing instrument 15 projecting spacer pieces 13 from the central part. A number of concrete blocks 11 are arranged lengthwise and crosswise while fitting the corners of four concrete blocks to these cutouts 12 respectively. Since the intervals of the concrete blocks are continuously formed, vegetation can be planted in lattice-shaped ditches 16 to form the vegetation zones.
