Suction or blowing device with sealing arrangement

The seal is for a suction/blowing roller (1), at a papermaking machine, with a perforated (2) mantle surface to act on the web (4) over the roller underpressure/pressure zone. The seal, to define the roller suction/blowing zone, has two bars (6) at a gap (10) from the inner surface of the roller mantle (3) and held in a holder (7) at the entry and exit sides in the direction of web travel (A). The position of the bars can be adjusted in relation to the holders, by setting the gap between them to a given value. The adjustment is mechanical, using a setting shaft (8).
