<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiprocessor system short in latency, relatively small in a processing load of a CPU, and capable of minimizing degradation of development efficiency of software in a loosely coupled multiprocessor system. <P>SOLUTION: A leaf node 50B requests allocation of a remote memory to a leaf node 50C via a communication line 52, and requests creation of mapping connection to a root node 50A. The root node 50A maps a remote memory 602 to a memory window 603B in response to the request, and instructs the leaf node 50B on memory mapping via a communication line 51. The leaf node 50B carries out memory mapping for mapping addresses of the remote memory 602C to a memory space of a main memory 501B.
