PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method capable of removing efficiently a solid material adhering to an apparatus for α-olefin low polymerization reaction.SOLUTION: In a method of cleaning an apparatus for producing an α-olefin low polymer, a solid material adhering to an inner wall of the apparatus for producing the α-olefin low polymer is dissolved into a solvent to be removed from the inner wall under an atmosphere in which the partial pressure of a raw material α-olefin is set at a lower pressure than a partial pressure in the low polymerization reaction time, when cleaning the apparatus for producing the α-olefin low polymer constituted from a reactor for obtaining the α-olefin low polymer which is an object product by subjecting the raw material α-olefin to a low polymerization reaction in the presence of a solvent by using a catalyst. |
