PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data printing system that allows a user to easily perform desired printing through intuitive operation without performing complicated operation.SOLUTION: Short-range communication is available between a portable terminal device 1 and a copier 2. When the portable terminal device is placed on a placement board 2a of the copier, the copier detects the arrangement state of the portable terminal device (e.g., whether it is placed in the portrait orientation or landscape orientation), determines a printing format (e.g., printing in the longitudinal direction or the transverse direction as the direction of printing) according to the arrangement state, and prints print data received from the portable terminal device according to the printing format.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
