A machine for grinding a taper holder of a spindle is provided to grind the taper holder without disassembling the spindle where a tool holder is fixed. A machine for grinding a taper holder for a spindle includes a base(10), a swing body(20), a swing-rotation unit, a transfer body(40), a transfer unit, a grinding spindle(60), a rotating unit, and a grinding tool(80). The base is disposed on a bed of the machine. The swing body is arranged on the base such that the swing body is rotatable relatively to the base about a swing shaft arranged in parallel with a rotating shaft of a spindle of the machine. The swing-rotation unit swing-rotates the swing body. The transfer body is arranged on the swing body in such a manner that the transfer body is transferred relatively to the swing body in the direction parallel to the taper line of the spindle of the machine. The transfer unit transfers the transfer body in a linear manner. The grinding spindle is mounted on the transfer body in such a manner that the grinding spindle is rotatable relatively to the transfer body about the shaft of the spindle arranged in parallel with the linear movement direction of the transfer body. The rotating unit rotates the grinding spindle, and the grinding tool is fixed at a front end of the grinding spindle. |
