PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corner joint metal which is enhanced in waterproofness and appearance quality at a corner portion of a building, and contributes to effective use of end materials of the siding material, and to provide a siding material mounting method using the corner joint metal. SOLUTION: The corner joint metal 1 is formed of: an L-shaped cross-sectional metal substrate 15 which is erectly set in a manner following an external surface 13 or an internal surface 73 of a structural member 9 existing at the corner portion; and a plurality of sealing projections 19 which are individually formed in a longitudinal direction in a manner projecting outward or inward of a plurality of mutually intersecting substrate pieces 17 of the metal substrate 15.
