PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film having moisture absorption ability, which is developed to a packaging material having a moisture indicator function, visually and easily determines the function reduction part of packaging material by moisture absorption, determines and controls function reduction by moisture absorption in a production process of packaging material and in a distribution stage of packaging material. SOLUTION: The resin composition having moisture absorption ability is produced by mixing a polyolefin-based resin with calcium oxide, has light transmittance (T1) before moisture absorption of the resin composition of 70-90%, light transmittance after moisture absorption (T2) and a relation of (T2)/(T1)≤0.9. The resin composition acts as an indicator of moisture absorption ability by utilizing a change in light transmittance before and after moisture absorption of the resin composition having moisture absorption ability.
