<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for casting paper, having extremely excellent characteristics as the casting paper which is suitably used in a process for conducting perforation processing and other processing, such as cutting, by the use of ultraviolet (UV) laser. <P>SOLUTION: This polyester film for the casting paper is used in the process for conducting the processing by the use of the UV laser, wherein the polyester film has a light transmittance of≤30% at 365 nm.
